2 Trucks Collide on Highway 156 in Monterey County Leading to Major Injuries

2 Injured, 1 Seriously, in Crash Involving Armored Truck on Highway 156 near Oak Hills Drive in Monterey County

Monterey County, California (April 10, 2020) – Two people were injured Thursday morning in a collision involving a pair of trucks in unincorporated Monterey County, according to a report by California Highway Patrol.

At about 9:16 a.m., Thursday, April 9, emergency personnel responded to the crash involving an armored truck and a large-engine flatbed truck on state Highway near Oak Hills Drive.

As per the CHP report, both trucks were heading westbound on Highway 156 when the flatbed truck veered right and struck the armored truck. Following the collision, the flatbed truck overturns and landed on its side.

A San Jose man, who was the driver of the armored truck, was taken to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas for treatment of major injuries. The operator of the flatbed truck had minor injuries.

The names of the patients and their conditions were not immediately disclosed.

The accident remains under investigation.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that truck accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
