2 Killed in Head-On Accident on I-5 in San Diego

Man and Woman Killed in San Diego Car Crash on I-5 near 4th Avenue

San Diego, California (March 11, 2020) – The police are investigating a Wednesday morning two-car crash that killed two people in San Diego.

The crash happened on the northbound side of the Interstate 5 Freeway near the 4th Avenue overpass, at about 1:15 a.m.

A black sedan traveling south in the northbound lanes near Old Town collided head-on with another vehicle. The circumstances that led to the crash are yet to be established.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the crash.

All lanes were reportedly reopened at about 6:20 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
