4-Month-Old Boy Dies after North Hills Car Crash on West Nordhoff Street; Mother Arrested

North Hills, California (March 11, 2020) – A baby boy was killed and four others injured in a suspected DUI accident on Monday night in North Hills.

A crash involving two vehicles was reported moments to midnight, in the 15200 block of West Nordhoff Street in the west San Fernando Valley community.

A Toyota SUV was traveling eastbound on Nordhoff Street when, for unknown reasons, it drifted across the median and crashed head-on with an oncoming black SUV. The force of the collision sent the SUV into other parked cars.

The Toyota driver, a 23-year-old woman, 4-month-old twins and a 2-year-old child, her passengers, were taken to a hospital for treatment of moderate-to-serious injuries. One of the twins later died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The other driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

The 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

The crash remains under investigation.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian encourages victims and their family members to seek legal help as soon as possible in order to preserve their rights to the full extent of the law.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
