2 Injured in Carnelian Bay Accident on Highway 28

2 People Trapped after 2 Cars Collide on Highway 28 at Caledonia Cir in Carnelian Bay

Carnelian Bay, California (April 3, 2020) – Authorities responded to the scene of a major injury crash Thursday afternoon, where two people were trapped in a vehicle in Carnelian Bay.

According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided just after 4:00 p.m. on Highway 28 at Caledonia Cir.

First responders found two people trapped in their vehicle.

The victims were freed by firefighters and were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Authorities said the Animal Control Unit was requested to the scene to offer care to an unknown animal that was also injured in the accident.

The cause and manner of the accident remained unknown.
