1 Seriously Injured in DUI Crash at Blackstone and Bullard Avenues in Fresno
Driver Hospitalized after Fresno Car Accident at Blackstone and Bullard Avenues
Fresno, California (May 15, 2020) – Authorities are investigating an alleged DUI crash that left a driver nursing serious injuries on Thursday evening in Fresno.
The crash happened at about 6:30 p.m., on May 14, in the area of Blackstone and Bullard avenues.
As per the police reports, a Dodge Charger collided with another vehicle on the roadway. The Dodge was swerving in and out of traffic before the accident.
Following the accident, the Dodge slammed into the Philips Barstools & Dinettes causing its engine to catch fire. The fire spread into the store.
The Dodge driver was trapped in his car and was extricated by the first responders who also contained the fire. The extricated victim was taken to a hospital with a major injury to his leg.
Both drivers were suspected of having been driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The crash remains under investigation.
