Michelle Baldwin Identified as Driver Injured in Lakeport Car Crash on Highway 175 near Mathews Road

Lakeport, California (April 14, 2020) – Michelle Baldwin has been identified as the driver who was injured along with two others in a Thursday afternoon car crash in Lakeport.

As per the police reports, the accident happened at about 3:45 p.m., on April 9, on Highway 175 near Mathews Road.

A 1997 Honda Civic collided with a 2006 BMW X5, driven by Michelle Baldwin, on Highway 175, said the officials.

The Honda Civic was driving westbound on the roadway when it veered off the roadway. The driver overcorrected and crossed the center double yellow lines into the pathway of Baldwin’s BMW, where they collided, said the police.

Baldwin was transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport with significant injuries.

The Honda driver and a passenger were also transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport with significant injuries. 

Two occupants in the Honda, the driver and a passenger, sustained major injuries. They were also taken to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport for treatment.

Intoxication was not believed to be a factor in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
