Fatal Head-On Crash in Bakersfield on 7th Standard Rad at Wasco Avenue
Bakersfield, California (March 3, 2020) – One person was killed in an accident involving two vehicles on Tuesday, March 3, at around 7:30 a.m. in Bakersfield, as per a police report.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash on the eastbound lanes of 7th Standard Road at Wasco Avenue near Cannon Street.
According to the report, the driver of the Mercedes drifted into the eastbound lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a big rig.
The impact of the crash caused the Mercedes to spun out, and it collided with a GMC truck that was at the intersection.
The driver of the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is still underway.
