Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Bakersfield on Taft Highway near Buena Vista Road

Bakersfield, California (March 3, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by several vehicles on Taft Highway near Buena Vista Road in Bakersfield, police said.

The deadly crash was reported on Tuesday, March 3, at around 5:40 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol said the driver of a pickup truck struck the pedestrian n the roadway for unknown reasons , and pulled over to call the police. The man was struck bu several other vehicles while driving past him.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

No other details of the crash were immediately released.

The crash is still under investigation.
