One Killed, Five Hospitalized after Sacramento County Crash on Eagles Nest Road near Jackson Highway

Sacramento County, California (January 22, 2020) – One person was killed and five others were injured Wednesday morning in a traffic accident in Mather, Sacramento County, a local news source reported.

The fatal two-car crash took place just before 7:30 a.m. on Eagles Nest Road near Kiefer Boulevard and north of Jackson Road.

According to the local news report, two vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons on southbound Eagles Nest Road.

One person died at the scene. Five other people were transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Authorities closed Eagles Nest Road for several hours following the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
