Bicyclist Struck and Hurt by Vehicle at SR-200 and Highway 299 in McKinleyville

McKinleyville, California (January 1, 2019) – One person was injured in a bicycle collision that happened in McKinleyville on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a local news source, the crash took place on Highway 299 at the on-ramp from State Route 200 at around 1:10 p.m. 

Police said a BMW struck a bicyclist on the highway for reasons still under an active investigation.

The victim sustained minor injuries in the crash. The patient was attended to by paramedics who responded to the scene shortly after the accident.

Meanwhile, the identity and the current condition of the injured party remain unknown to this time.
