Newberry Springs Crash on Interstate 15 Sends at Least 1 to Hospital

Newberry Springs, California (January 1, 2020) – At least one person was hospitalized after a Tuesday night major injury car crash that happened on Interstate 15 in Newberry Springs.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at about 8:33 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the freeway, just south of Alvord Mountain Road.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash.

First responders requested an air ambulance to transport at least one person who suffered serious injuries in the crash to the hospital.

There were no other details available.

CHP is investigating the collision.
