One Injured in New Cuyama Crash on Highway 166 at Kirshenmann Road

New Cuyama, California (December 29, 2019) – A person was injured Thursday morning in a traffic accident involving a semi-truck in New Cuyama, a local news source reported.

The accident took place shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 26 on Highway 166 at Kirshenmann Road.

According to the report, a Chevy Cruze was attempting to make U-turn from Highway 166 back to Highway 133 when for an undetermined reason, a passing semi-truck slammed into the Chevy.

Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to at least one person who was hurt as a result of the crash. The patient was then taken to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria for further aid.

The accident remains under investigation.
