Danny McCurry Seriously Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 5 in Williams

Danny McCurry Hospitalized after Williams Truck Crash on Interstate 5

Williams, California (December 30, 2019) – One person was hospitalized Sunday morning after a traffic accident involving a pair of semi-truck on Interstate 5 in Williams, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash took place shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, December 29 on southbound Interstate 5.

According to the CHP, Singh Malkeet was driving a white 2013 Freightliner on southbound Interstate 5 in the number one lane at about 55 mph while Danny McCurry was operating a white 2018 Freightliner in the number two lane at an unspecified speed.

For an undetermined reason, the white 2013 Freightliner merged in front of the 2018 white Freightliner and McCurry was unable to stop. The two semi-trucks eventually collided.

The 2018 white Freightliner sustained major damage upon the impact.

According to authorities, McCurry suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital. Malkeet was uninjured.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.

Southbound Interstate 5 was shut down and motorists were diverted for around five hours.

The accident remains under investigation.
