Yia Thao Identified as Man Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on 55th Street and Florin Road

Sacramento, California (December 9, 2019) – Authorities have identified the man who struck and killed by a vehicle early Monday morning in the area of 55th Street and Florin Road in Parkway Estates.

Yia Thao, 36, of Sacramento, died in the pedestrian accident that occurred shortly after 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of 55th Street and Florin Road.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, Thao was walking in the area when for an undetermined reason, he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection.

Thao died as a result of the accident.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
