71-Year-Old Woman Dies Following Stockton Pedestrian Accident at Leesburg Pl and W Benjamin Holt Drive

Stockton, California (December 13, 2019) – According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, a woman was hit and killed by a vehicle Thursday evening in the area of Leesburg Pl and West Benjamin Holt Drive in Stockton.

The fatal crash happened at about 6:56 p.m. Thursday, December 12 at the intersection of Leesburg Pl and West Benjamin Holt Drive.

As per the CHP report, a 71-year-old woman was hit by a pickup truck while she was walking in the area.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the woman unconscious in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene after the accident.

It is undetermined if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
