Multiple Injured in Lewiston Crash on Highway 299(Eureka Way)

Shasta County, California (December 13, 2019) – According to a local news source, several people were injured in a two-car crash that happened early Friday morning in the Lewiston area, Shasta County.

The accident occurred at around 1:11 a.m. on Highway 299, also known as Eureka Way.

According to the local news report, a blue Subaru WRX and a silver Honda collided for an unknown reason on Highway 299. Due to the impact, one of the involved vehicles rolled over and went over the side of a cliff about 150 to 300 feet.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the injured parties. One victim suffered major injuries and another sustained a minor hand injury and had complaints of chest pain. Their names and current conditions were not immediately disclosed.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
