Woman Severely Hurt in Long Beach Skateboard Accident near Pacific Coast Highway and Lewis Avenue

Long Beach, California (January 13, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a major injury skateboard accident that left a woman with critical injuries on Saturday night in the area of Long Beach.

The major collision happened on January 12, near Pacific Coast Highway and Lewis Avenue at about 10:25 p.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman was riding a skateboard across the Pacific Coast Highway when an eastbound car hit her.

Responding emergency crews transported the woman to an area hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

Officials did not believe alcohol or drugs to be factors in the accident.

An investigation is underway.
