Woman Seriously Injured After Being Hit by Bus in Mill Valley

56-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured in Mill Valley Pedestrian Accident on Miller Avenue at Sunnyside Avenue

Mill Valley, California (January 21, 2020) – According to a local news source, a 56-year-old Mill Valley woman was seriously injured after being hit by a bus Tuesday evening in downtown Mill Valley, Marin County.

The accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 21 on Miller Avenue at Sunnyside Avenue near the Depot Plaza.

As per the report, the Mill Valley woman was walking in or near the crosswalk on Miller Avenue at Sunnyside Avenue when for an unknown reason, she was struck by a Golden Gate Transit bus. According to police, the bus trapped the woman’s left leg under the front right tire.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the woman. She was then transported to MarinHealth Medical Center in Greenbrae with major injuries.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
