Woman on Electric Scooter Injured after Slamming Into Cement Mixer in San Francisco

69-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured in San Francisco Scooter Accident at The Embarcadero and Bay Street

San Francisco, California (January 14, 2020) –  A 69-year-old woman riding an electric scooter was seriously injured after crashing into a cement mixer Monday afternoon in the area of The Embarcadero and Bay Street in San Francisco, authorities said.

The crash took place at around 3:25 p.m. Monday, January 13 at the intersection of The Embarcadero and Bay Street.

Authorities said the 69-year-old woman was riding her electric scooter along San Francisco’s waterfront when for an unknown reason, she slammed into the truck.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her name and current condition were not immediately disclosed.

The accident remains under investigation.
