Woman, 59, Dies in Garden Grove DUI Crash at Euclid Street and Chapman Avenue Wednesday afternoon

Garden Grove, California (April 16, 2020) – A three-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 59-year-old woman Wednesday afternoon in Garden Grove, authorities said.

The woman, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was driving her car at about 1:30 p.m. April 15 when she came to a stop at the intersection of Euclid Street and Chapman Avenue and was rear-ended by a 2017 Honda.

Due to the impact, the woman’s car slammed into a third vehicle.

The woman was found unconscious by emergency crews. She was taken to the University of California, Irvine Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver and a passenger in the third vehicle were uninjured in the crash.

The driver of the Honda was transported to the hospital to be treated for significant injuries before being booked into jail on suspicion of DUI.
