Miesha Singleton ID’d as Mother Killed in Oakland Pedestrian Accident at 98th Avenue and Cherry Street
Oakland, California (January 18, 2020) – The female party who was killed in a pedestrian accident in the area of Oakland on Friday afternoon has been identified as 40-year-old Miesha Ellesse Singleton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian collision took place at 98th Avenue and Cherry Street, in front of Elmhurst United Middle School at about 3:22 p.m. on January 17.
Singleton was struck by a speeding vehicle while walking across the street in a crosswalk for reasons still under an active investigation.
Miesha Singleton was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator of the involved vehicle fled the site after hitting Singleton.
Meanwhile, a white Nissan Maxima, possibly with damage to the passenger side windshield, was believed to have involved in the wreck.

The investigation is still ongoing.
