Fatal Tulare County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 80

1 Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 99 near Avenue 80 in Tulare County

Tulare County, California (January 18, 2020) – According to the California Highway Patrol, one person was struck and killed by a vehicle in the area of Tulare County at about 2:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The fatal collision happened on Highway 99 near Avenue 80 off-ramp.

As per the CHP report, an unidentified pedestrian was struck by  a vehicle of unspecified built on the highway for undisclosed reasons.

The operator of the involved vehicle stopped after the crash and cooperated with the investigation.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was attended to by Tulare County Fire Department crews. The patient died at Kaweah Delta Medical Center while undergoing treatment.

More details will be released immediately after the CHP completes the investigation.
