A 2015 Honda Accord was moving westbound on a green light at about 9:30 p.m., on March 8, at the intersection of Mira Mesa Boulevard and Reagan Road near the Mira Mesa Mall.
The car struck a woman who was northbound crossing, according to the police.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
