Kelsey Diffin Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on Broadway in Eureka

Kelsey Diffin Seriously Injured after Being Struck by Vehicle while Pushing Baby in Stroller on Broadway near Harbor Lanes in Eureka

Eureka, California (March 8, 2020) – The woman who was struck and injured by a vehicle while she was pushing a stroller containing an infant Saturday night in Eureka has been identified as Kelsey Diffin

According to the police, Diffin was pushing a stroller with her child at about 11:45 p.m. on March 7 when they were hit by a red SUV that was traveling northbound on Broadway

Diffin suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The child was also taken to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
