Woman Dies Following Fatal Lemoore Pedestrian Accident on Highway 41 near Hanford Armona Road
Lemoore, California (January 14, 2020) – A woman was struck and killed by a big rig Monday evening in Lemoore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal accident happened at about 5:45 p.m. Monday, January 13 on Highway 41 near Hanford Armona Road.
The CHP said the woman was allegedly jaywalking when she was hit by the truck that was traveling southbound on Highway 41.
The woman, believed to be between the age of 40 and 50, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Authorities said the driver did not appear to be under the influence at the time of the accident.
Southbound lanes of Highway 41 at Hanford Armona were shut down following the crash. Motorists were asked to use alternate routes.
The accident remains under investigation.
