Woman Hit, Killed by Car on Old Telegraph Road and 7th Street in Fillmore

Woman Killed in Fillmore Pedestrian Accident on Old Telegraph Road and 7th Street

Fillmore, California (March 5, 2020) – A woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on Wednesday night in Fillmore, according to police.

The crash happened at about 10:32 p.m., on March 4 on Old Telegraph Road and 7th Street.

The police said the woman walked in front of a gray 2007 Toyota Corolla that was traveling eastbound on Old Telegraph Road.  The woman was thrown into the westbound lane due to the impact.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The involved driver, a 20-year-old Fillmore man, stopped and cooperated with the police.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to call CHP’s Ventura office at 805-662-2640.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
