1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Fresno County Big Rig Accident at American and Fowler Avenues
Fresno County, California (March 5, 2020) – One person was killed and another injured after a crash involving a big rig and a car on Thursday morning in Fresno County, according to the CHP.
The crash happened at about 8:30 a.m., at American and Fowler.
It appeared like a driver pulled out from a traffic stop sign and eventually got hit by an oncoming big rig that had the right-of-way. The car driver may have thought the road was a 4-way stop, but it was only a 2-way, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A female passenger in the car was pronounced dead in the crash while the driver was hospitalized.
More details about the crash were not available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
