19-Year-Old Woman Injured in Morena Pedestrian Accident on Linda Vista Road

San Diego, California (December 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle Saturday evening in Morena neighborhood of San Diego, according to officials.

The pedestrian accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 7 in the 5900 block of Linda Vista Road.

Authorities said a 19-year-old man was driving his 2016 Toyota Prius eastbound on Linda Vista Road when the pedestrian ran across the street between two controlled intersections into the path of the Prius.

The pedestrian, only identified as a 19-year-old woman, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Her name has not been disclosed.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
