Victorville Woman Dies Following Crash on Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona

Victorville Woman Killed in Corona Car Accident on Riverside (91) Freeway near Smith Avenue

Corona, California (May 5, 2020) – A 37-year-old Victorville woman was killed early Monday morning in a car crash in Corona, according to a local news source.

Authorities said a 2020 Toyota Camry, driven by the Victorville woman, was traveling in the westbound lanes of the Riverside (91) Freeway at around 2:40 a.m. May 4 when it stalled in the slow lane for unknown reasons.

A few minutes later, the Camry was struck from behind by a Hino box truck that was traveling at about 55 miles per hour.

The driver of the Toyota sustained critical injuries and was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Marcus Reeves, 27, also of Victorville, who was riding as a passenger in the Toyota, was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.

Multiple traffic lanes were closed as crews investigated the accident.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
