I-15 Car Crash in Newberry Springs Monday Morning

Newberry Springs, California (May 4, 2020) – Authorities said two cars collided Monday at about 9:50 a.m. on Interstate 15 near Alvord Mountain Road in Newberry Springs, resulting in major injuries.

According to California Highway Patrol officers, the two vehicles, of unknown make and model, collided under unclear circumstances.

At least one person sustained serious injuries, authorities said. An ambulance was sent to the scene to transport the victim to the hospital.

The cause of the accident will be established when the investigation is completed.
