Victims Hospitalized After Morongo Valley Car Crash at Highway 62 and Senilis Avenue ID’d as Enrique Haro and Rosemary Haro

Authorities ID’d Enrique Haro and Rosemary Haro as Victims Hurt in Morongo Valley DUI Car Accident 

Morong0 Valley, California (May 13, 2020) – 41-year-old Enrique DeLeon Haro, and, 61-year-old Rosemary Haro has been identified as the victims injured following an alleged DUI crash in Morongo Valley at approximately 8:00 p.m. May 9.

As per the California Highway Patrol report, the accident happened when a 2003 GMC Yukon operated by 33-year-old Woden Taggart-Chimitt eastbound on Highway 62 failed to slow down at Senilis Avenue. The Yukon then slammed into a 2015 Jeep Cherokee that was stopped at a red light Saturday evening.

Both the Jeep motorist, Haro, and his passenger Rosemary Haro were rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Taggart-Chimitt, a Yucca Valley resident, was reported to have been driving while intoxicated at the time of the collision. He was arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of DUI causing injuries.

The accident remains under an active investigation.
