Victim Killed in Bakersfield Car Crash at Union Avenue and Bear Mountain Boulevard ID’d as Jose Diaz

Jose Diaz Fatal Bakersfield Car Accident at Union Avenue and Bear Mountain Boulevard 

Bakersfield, California (January 9, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol has identified the male victim who was killed in a traffic collision in Bakersfield late last month as 39-year-old Jose Leonardo Diaz.

The fatal crash took place in the area of South Union Avenue and Bear Mountain Boulevard at about 6:50 a.m. December 20.

The accident involved a car driven by Diaz and another vehicle of unspecified built.

Both drivers, including Diaz, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, a passenger riding in one of the involved vehicles was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries sustained in the crash.

The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to identify the cause of the accident.
