Fatal Jurupa Valley Multi-Vehicle Crash on Van Buren Boulevard

Jurupa Valley, California (January 9, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a four-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a male victim early on Thursday morning in Jurupa Valley.

The multi-vehicle accident happened at about 1:26 a.m. January 9, on Van Buren Boulevard near Studio Place.

The accident involved four vehicles that collided on the highway for unknown reasons.

Officials said a male party operating one of the vehicles involved sustained major injuries following the wreck. The victim was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, two of the motorists involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the law.

The fourth driver fled the scene and abandoned a flatbed trailer.

It was not clear whether or not alcohol or drugs were a factor at the time of the collision.

The Jurupa Valley Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause of the accident.
