Tobias Rubio Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2 in Madera County

Tobias Rubio Hospitalized after Madera County Car Accident at Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2

Madera County, California (December 15, 2019) –  The person who was injured in a traffic accident that happened Thursday night in the area of Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2 in Madera County has been identified by authorities as Tobias Rubio, 22.

The crash took place at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, December 12 at the intersection of Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2.

According to the report, a Madera County sheriff’s deputy was traveling eastbound Avenue 12 when for an unknown reason, he failed to see a 1996 Dodge ahead of him and crashed into its rear. Due to the impact, the Dodge struck a 2016 Nissan Sentra that was traveling in front of them.

Rubio, who was in the Dodge, was taken to Madera Community Hospital with leg pain. The driver of the Nissan, Nicholas Post, 23, declined treatment at the scene.

The deputy was not injured in the crash

All three cars sustained significant damage following the crash.

Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were considered factors in the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
