Timothy Bauer Killed in Oceanside Motorcycle Accident on Oceanside Boulevard

Authorities Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Oceanside Crash on Oceanside Boulevard as Timothy Bauer

Oceanside, California (February 10, 2020) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a traffic crash that happened Saturday afternoon in Oceanside.

Timothy James Bauer, 54, of Oceanside, died in the accident that occurred at about 1:34 p.m. Saturday, February 8 on Oceanside Boulevard at the El Corazon compost facility.

According to the report, a truck hauling a trailer was exiting the El Corazon compost facility and was attempting to make an illegal left turn onto the eastbound lanes of Oceanside Boulevard when it collided with a westbound motorcycle driven by Bauer.

Bystanders tried to perform CPR on Bauer. Despite life-saving measures, he did not survive his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The truck driver, identified as Ronald Estes, was arrested and booked into jail for gross vehicular manslaughter charges.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
