Teresita Leano Arrested in San Francisco Hit-and-Run Accident

Teresita Leano Arrested Following San Francisco Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Accident on El Camino Real

San Francisco, California (January 21, 2020) –Teresita Leano, 65, of San Bruno, has been arrested after a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured a pedestrian last week Thursday in South San Francisco.

The incident took place at about 7:50 p.m. Thursday, January 16 on El Camino Real.

According to police, Leano was driving her vehicle southbound on El Camino Real when for an unknown reason, she hit the pedestrian who was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk.

The pedestrian was taken to a trauma center with major life-threatening injuries.

Teresita Leano fled the scene after the accident but was later located and arrested by police. She was booked into custody on suspicion of hit-and-run.

According to the reports, Leano has been released from jail, and the case will be referred to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

The accident remains under investigation.
