Major Injury Tehama County Car Crash on State Highway 99 at Gerber Road

Tehama County, California (January 7, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a traffic collision that resulted in major injuries to at least one person in the El Camino and Gerber area on Tuesday morning.

The two-vehicle crash happened at around 7:51 a.m. January 7 on Highway 99 at Gerber Road.

The CHP said the accident involved a bus and a Ford.

The initial report indicated that the bus allegedly ran through a stop sign and collided with the Ford.

The Ford acquired major front-end damage while the bus wound up in a nearby field upon the impact.

The accident resulted in major injuries to at least one person.

Limited details regarding the collision had been released at the time of the report.

The left-hand turn lane was closed down for an unknown time.

The investigation is underway.
