Teenage Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Bradbury Road and East Clausen Road in Merced County

Boy Killed in Merced County Motorcycle Accident at Bradbury Road and East Clausen Road Sunday afternoon

Merced County, California (May 18, 2020) – A 15-year-old Turlock boy was killed Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a big rig northwest of Delhi in Merced County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the intersection of Bradbury Road and East Clausen Road.

The CHP said the boy was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on Clausen Road approaching Bradbury Road when he allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and was broadsided by a big rig that was traveling eastbound on Bradbury Road.

The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of family.

The operator of the big rig, a 28-year-old man, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Intoxication was not believed to have been a factor in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.

“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
