Teen Critically Hurt in Fullerton Skateboard Crash on West Orangethorpe Avenue
Fullerton, California (January 1, 2019) – A skateboard rider was on Tuesday afternoon struck and injured by a vehicle in Fullerton, according to a report by the Fullerton police.
The incident, which occurred at about 12:39 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, happened in the 2400 block of West Orangethorpe Avenue.
Fullerton police said the boy was hit and knocked off the skateboard by a gray Mercedes sedan.
The victim, identified as a 17-year-old boy, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a trauma center.
Police said the driver of the Mercedes stayed at the scene and waited for the investigators to arrive.
There were no further details on the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
