Stephen Miranda Fatal Crash in Santa Rosa on Highway 101

Santa Rosa, California (February 6, 2020) – 38-year-old Stephanie Miranda has been identified as the woman killed in a crash involving a semi-truck on Tuesday morning in Santa Rosa, police said.

The collision was reported on Tuesday, February 4, on Highway 101 exit ramp near Bicentennial Way off-ramp.

The California Highway Patrol said Miranda crashed into the back of a parked semi-truck, driven by a 35-year-old Reedley man while exiting Highway 101.

The initial report said Miranda was in the left lane of the two-lane ramp when she switched to the right lane in front of another vehicle. The Mazda then continued moving to the right and drove onto the shoulder where it struck  the stopped truck.

Miranda was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
