Douglas Wishart Arrested after DUI Tuolumne Accident at Carter Street at Tuolumne Road North

Tuolumne, California (December 10, 2019) – 33-year-old Douglas Wishart of Escalon has been arrested after an alleged DUI hit-and-run crash on Friday night in the area of Tuolumne, according to authorities.

The collision was reported a while before 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, at Carter Street at Tuolumne Road North.

As per the CHP officials, Wishart was traveling westbound on Carter Street in a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe when he slammed into the left side of a 2012 Chevrolet SUV heading southbound on Tuolumne Road North.

The SUV driver, a 35-year-old Sonora woman, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment.

Wishart did not stop to render aid and he fled the scene. Officials later located Wishart at the Black Oak Casino and arrested him on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. Wishart was booked into jail on a $25,000 bail.
