Man Hurt in Hoopa Work Accident off Big Hill Road
Hoopa, California (December 10, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a work accident that left a male forestry worker hurt on Monday morning in the area of Hoopa.
The crash was reported at about 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 9, off Big Hill Road.
As per the CHP officials, a man was doing forest inventory work when he fell down a steep ravine in Hostler Creek drainage approximately 300 feet down.
Firefighters along with medical personnel responded to the scene. A Cal Fire helicopter was also requested.
The man suffered a severe back injury and was hospitalized.
No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
An investigation is underway.
