Fatal Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 near 47th Avenue

Sacramento, California (January 31, 2020) – A pedestrian collision that took place in Sacramento at about 7:15 p.m. on January 30 resulted in the death of one person, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The fatal crash involving a pedestrian and a big rig was reported on Thursday night in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 at 47th Avenue.

It was not immediately disclosed the circumstances that lead to the collision.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the crash site

Meanwhile, officials closed down No. 3 and 4 lanes for an unknown time.

The investigation is underway.
