Rudy Carrasco Dies after Tulare Car Accident at H Street and San Joaquin Avenue
Tulare, California (February 27, 2020) – One person was killed and another injured a Wednesday evening car accident in Tulare, according to authorities.
Two vehicles collided at the intersection of H Street and San Joaquin Avenue at about 5:30 p.m., on February 26.
A white 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Rudy Carrasco, 49, of Woodlake, collided with a black 2000 Infinity i30 at the intersection. The reasons that led to the accident are yet to be established, according to the police.
Carrasco, who was a Western High School Administrator, was trapped in his vehicle and was extricated by firefighters. The other driver was not trapped and was able to exit the car.
Following the accident, both Carrasco and the other driver were transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment, where Carrasco was pronounced dead at about 11:00 p.m., at the hospital.
An investigation is ongoing.
