CHP Investigating Rio Vista Truck Accident on Highway 160 near Antioch Bridge

Rio Vista, California (December 13, 2019) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle accident that resulted in injuries to at least three people in Rio Vista on Thursday.

The four-vehicle collision was reported on December 12, along Highway 160 near Antioch Bridge.

The accident involved three passenger vehicles and a big rig that collided on the highway for unknown reasons.

One person was pinned inside one of the involved vehicles upon the impact.

Emergency teams responded to the scene shortly after the crash and extricated the victim from the wreckage.

Authorities said one person sustained major injuries while a second victim suffered minor injuries following the wreck. The patient received treatment at the hospital.

Meanwhile, a third injured victim denied first aid treatment at the scene.

The investigation is underway.
