Rider Seriously Hurt in Motorcycle accident in Concord

Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Concord Motorcycle Crash on Highway 242

Concord, California (February 19, 2020) – A rider suffered serious injuries after colliding with a car on Tuesday evening in Concord, according to police.

The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of Highway 242, just south of Port Chicago Highway off-ramp and Highway 4, at about 7:30 p.m., on February 18.

A motorcycle was cut off by a car of an unknown model, for reasons yet to be established, according to the police.

The rider was found on the right-hand shoulder by emergency crews. The victim was hospitalized with a broken leg.

Lanes Nos. 1 and 2 were closed as a result of the crash.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
