Randall King ID’d as Ojai Man Killed in Orange County Car Accident on 5 Freeway near El Toro Road

Orange County, California (June 27, 2020) – The Orange County Coroner’s Office has identified Randall King, 71, of Ojai, as the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Orange County.

The deadly crash occurred at around 12:40 p.m., on June 20, on 5 Freeway near El Toro Road.

As per the CHP report, a BMW was heading southbound on the 5 Freeway when, for unknown reasons, it suddenly stopped near El Toro Road.

A Subaru, driven by King, was following a Honda that was behind the BMW at the time. King managed to slow down to avoid a collision, but his Subaru was struck by a Ford, the officials said.

King was taken to Mission Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having contributed to the accident.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the CHP officers at 949-487-4000.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
