2 Injured in Fatal Angelus Oaks Car Accident on Highway 38 near Forest Road 1N86

Angelus Oaks, California (June 26, 2020) – One victim died, and two others were injured following a head-on collision that occurred, near Forest Road 1N86, in Angelus Oaks Wednesday afternoon, June 24.

The fatal accident involved a 2016 Hyundai Veloster operated by a 35-year-old man westbound on Highway 38 and a 2014 Toyota Rav-4 driven by a 23-year-old woman eastbound Highway 38 west of Forest Road 1N86.

The initial report indicated that the Hyundai Veloster veered into the eastbound lanes at a high rate of speed prior to the 1:10 p.m. head-on collision.

The Hyundai driver, a Los Angeles resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other motorist and her 16-year-old Murrieta’s city female passenger were rushed to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of moderate to minor injuries.

An investigation into the mishap is underway.
