Coroner Identify Woman Killed in San Juan Capistrano Truck Crash on 5 Freeway near Camino Capistran as Quonia Singleton

San Juan Capistrano, California (March 1, 2020) – The woman who died Saturday morning following a traffic accident involving a truck in San Juan Capistrano has been identified as Quonia Singleton, 34, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.

The deadly accident happened at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, February 29 on the San Diego (5) Freeway near Camino Capistrano.

The California Highway Patrol said a red Honda Civic driven by Singleton, was traveling on the San Diego (5) Freeway when, for unknown reasons, it collided with a big rig.

Quonia Singleton died in the crash.

The truck driver’s condition was not immediately available.

The accident remains under investigation.
