Pursuit Ends in Crash Injuring 2 in Santa Maria

2 Hurt in DUI Santa Maria Crash on Union Valley Parkway and Orcutt Road

Santa Maria, California (January 28, 2020) – A police pursuit ended into a DUI crash injuring two people on Monday morning in the area of Santa Maria, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at the Union Valley Parkway and Orcutt Road intersection at around 11:33 a.m., January 27.

As per the report, an erratic motorist was seen heading in the Santa Maria neighborhood. Police were notified and they responded to the location and began chasing the driver.

The pursuit came to an end when the suspect car collided into a SMOOTH public transportation bus. The suspect attempted fleeing in another vehicle but was stopped by the authorities.

Two persons sustained injuries due to the collision. The names of the wounded persons and their current condition were not immediately released.

It was not immediately known if the patients were on the bus or the police’s or the suspect’s car.

Officials believed the suspect was high on drugs at the time.

An investigation is underway.

According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
